Black Economic Empowerment

Black Economic Empowerment

Africa is a dynamic continent, bursting with energy and full of potential. But to unlock that potential, we need to create more opportunity for the real drivers of the economy: our people. All of us need a chance to learn, a chance to grow—a chance to achieve more. By investing in innovative and meaningful social projects, TransUnion is helping South Africans of all ages to help themselves and develop their country.

Together with our BEE partners and CIDA City Campus, we’re committed to achieving equitable representation at the highest levels of the organisation across the continent, ensuring that our staff reflects the population and that our suppliers have the appropriate BEE status.

Over the next 25 years, TransUnion will help over 1 200 CIDA students complete a BBA degree. It's estimated that their careers will generate up to R3,5bn for the economy.

In terms of our shareholding, CIDA City Campus owns 10% of the Credit Bureau, and Safika Holdings owns 25% of Receivables Management.

Invest in meaningful community projects and the nation reaps the rewards.
