It is supported by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA), Retail Motor Industry and the banking industry.

The database is kept current by authoritative information sources such as the South African Police Services, finance houses, major motor manufacturers (NAAMSA), micro dotting companies, and the Department of Trade and Industry.
